
Please join ADDP on September 21, 2023 for our Annual Membership Meeting. The event will be held at the Doubletree Hotel in Westborough, MA.
As in years past, the day will include an update on ADDP and our work on behalf of providers over the past year. Ellen Attaliades, ADDP President & CEO and other members of the ADDP Board of Directors and staff will provide business and advocacy updates and we will also have several ADDP Business Members exhibiting/in attendance as well as our 2023 ADDP DEI Awards.
In addition, The Capabilities, from Berkshire Hills Music Academy will perform a brief medley of Broadway tunes as a preview to their upcoming gala.
**UPDATE: SPEAKER CHANGE**
EOHHS Secretary Kate Walsh will no longer be attending the event in person. She will, however, be sending a video message to the ADDP membership which we will play during the meeting.
We are happy to announce that our new Guest Speakers from EOHHS will be Mary McGeown, Undersecretary for Human Services and Joanne Marqusee, Assistant Secretary for Operational Effectiveness, who will discuss what the Healey-Driscoll Admin is doing on workforce development.
About Our Guest Speakers
Mary McGeown, Undersecretary for Human Services
Mary McGeown is Undersecretary for Human Services in the Executive Office of Health and Human Services. Prior to joining the Healey-Driscoll Administration, Mary McGeown provided executive leadership to the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (MSPCC) for 11 years, where she was responsible for MSPCC’s advocacy for policies, services, and organizational fund development and stakeholder support. Previously, Mary held various leadership roles in Massachusetts state government, including Chief of Staff for EOHHS and Deputy Commissioner for the Department of Youth Services. Currently, she co-chairs the Massachusetts Families and Children Requiring Assistance Advisory Board and the Boston Children’s Hospital Board Committee on Community Service. Mary holds a BS in broadcast journalism from Boston University.
Joanne Marqusee, Assistant Secretary for Operational Effectiveness
Joanne Marqusee joined the Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services in March of 2023 as the Assistant Secretary for Operational Effectiveness. Among the areas in her portfolio is Workforce Development, working to address the significant shortages of employees needed by employers throughout the Commonwealth in the health and human services sectors.
She spent much of her career as an executive in hospitals and health care systems, including two years as the Executive Vice President/Chief Integration Officer at Tufts Medicine, seven years as the President/Chief Executive Officer of Cooley Dickinson Hospital (located in western Massachusetts and part of Mass General Hospital), five years as Executive Vice President/COO of Hallmark Health (an independent community-based system located north of Boston), and 16 years in progressively expanding leadership roles at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Earlier in her career, she held positions at the New York City public hospital system and the New York State Department of Health.
Joanne earned a Bachelor’s degree in linguistics from Cornell University and a Masters of Public Policy degree from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government. She currently lives in Brookline and has 30-year old twins.

The members of the group have vast experience performing across the Northeast for crowds of all ages. Their repertoire spans from pop/rock hits to Broadway classics, and the full rhythm section and four vocalists can bring any style to life.
